As a pivotal factor in early childhood development, routines allow children to steadily foster specific skills and abilities needed for adulthood. However, shifting from various activities may cause extreme confusion and frustrations to a child, especially when they prefer a particular activity over the other. At EDS Therapies Africa, we incorporate proper transitioning and routine management in all the activities we facilitate to ensure a wholesome experience for all our participants. We recognize how children may find it overwhelming to be subjected to abrupt changes. Hence, we arrange our program’s flow so that the former activity correlates well with the succeeding one. Our facilitators will also be mindful of the group’s overall pacing to avoid placing pressure on the children.
Our organization’s lifelong mission is to secure a promising future for African children with neurodevelopmental challenges. If you wish to help us sustain our outreach programs and further our advocacy, consider supporting our advocacy today.
