A balance of learning and leisure provides a conducive avenue for a child’s development. Possessing leisure skills will lead children to occupy themselves with wholesome activities (such as coloring, playing puzzles, or singing) instead of focusing on maladaptive thoughts. However, a child with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) may struggle with this harnessing this skill since they may stick to a single activity or have no awareness of their interest. Hence, EDS Therapies Africa aims to promote the importance of leisure by assisting our children with hobby development. Our team will regularly facilitate new and engaging activities to ignite a child’s newfound interests.
Our organization’s lifelong mission is to secure a promising future for African children with neurodevelopmental challenges. If you wish to help us sustain our outreach programs and further our advocacy, consider supporting our advocacy today.
