The human brain is home to various systems that keep the body well-functioning. Among these complex systems is a management network called the executive functioning that secures a person’s ability to set goals, create plans, follow instructions, and focus their attention— among other things. As a crucial facet of child development, EDS Therapies Africa recognizes the need for children with neurodevelopmental challenges to have a support system as their executive functioning may progress slower than other kids. Our team of specialists and volunteers will facilitate activities that stimulate the three primary areas of executive functioning:
- working memory
- cognitive flexibility
- inhibitory control
At the end of this program, we aim to usher the children to become goal-driven, proficient, and team-oriented individuals.
Our organization’s lifelong mission is to secure a promising future for African children with neurodevelopmental challenges. If you wish to help us sustain our outreach programs and further our advocacy, consider supporting our advocacy today.
