Emotions and impulses play an integral role in human behavior. Hence, a person needs to recognize these behavioral factors to successfully manage their responses and conduct whenever they face various situations. This ability is called self-regulation. Since a child diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder (NDD) may possess an impairment in self-regulation, they are more vulnerable to developing mental illnesses (such as anxiety, depression, and anger management issues) as they grow older. With the outreach programs facilitated by EDS Therapies Africa, we aim to reroute the course of a child’s future by introducing them to behavior management techniques.
Our organization’s lifelong mission is to secure a promising future for African children with neurodevelopmental challenges. If you wish to help us sustain our outreach programs and further our advocacy, consider supporting our advocacy today.
